About

We craft experiences that engage people’s hearts and minds.

Winikur Productions is a full-service media production company rooted in documentary filmmaking. We are curious puzzle-solvers, caring collaborators, and thoughtful storytellers.

We are driven by purpose and passion and take pride in what we do. We will put in the time and effort to tell the story right because what we produce reflects on both us and our clients.

CLIENT FOCUSED

It’s your story, not ours.

We start by listening and doing our homework.

We care that our relationships outlive any one project.

COLLABORATIVE

We respect the work that has gone into the project before we became involved.

The final product is a collective achievement.

Individual expertise and perspectives of different stakeholders should shine through.

RESPONSIVE

We don’t do radio silence.

Good communication and being attentive is necessary throughout the project.

ON TIME ON BUDGET

We care that we deliver the best work within project constraints.

We will work together to think through the best allocation of resources for the project.

TEAM

Zalika Corbett
TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Zalika has always been interested in creating art from new technologies. Taking to post-production from an early age, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Film and Television, concentrating in Computer Science and Japanese. She has since worked on VR experiences, documentary films, and interactive exhibits. Zalika currently manages the hardware and software at Winikur Productions and oversees development for client websites. In her free time, Zalika creates 3D art and plays video games, particularly Super Smash Bros.

Julia Kahn
PROJECT MANAGER

Julia started her professional life as a teacher, where she loved leading discussions, but not grading papers. While studying Art History at Yale and then Tufts, she loved writing papers, but was disappointed that no one read them. And as a museum educator, she loved using art to spark conversation, but was interested in too many things to choose one type of museum. In media production, she found a place where she could work collaboratively with smart people, create learning experiences for broad audiences, and explore a huge range of topics and ideas.

Jennifer Kalashian
INTERACTIVE / GRAPHIC DESIGN

Jennifer Kalashian is a User Experience (UX) & Graphic Designer with a BFA from Lesley University College of Art + Design. She values creating meaningful and sincere experiences for people, putting accessibility and inclusivity at the top of her priorities. She’s also passionate about typography, dancing, taking care of her plant babies, and playing Red Hot Chili Peppers bass covers.

Stephen LoVerme
Senior Editor / Motion Designer

Stephen began editing video in high school with a camcorder and VCR, and soon became a fixture at punk shows as “that kid with the camera,” documenting and making music videos for friends’ bands. His work is informed by his musical and design background, bringing a strong visual style and sense of pacing to documentary storytelling. In his spare time Stephen enjoys playing guitar, petting his cats and making gourmet French toast.

NJ Park
Associate Producer

N.J. published his first article for his small high school newspaper and was hooked when he saw his name in the byline. He pursued journalism at UMass Amherst with a focus on visual storytelling. He started as an intern at Winikur working on the Nancy and David Wolf Holocaust and Humanity Center in Cincinnati. He is also an avid home-chef who creates fusion Korean-American cuisine.

Anne Marie Stein
VP of Most Stuff

Anne Marie always hung out with the artsy kids in school and liked puzzles. That led to a career in arts administration focusing on independent media, starting with a stint in Paris working with and presenting the first generation of video artists. Other past positions include ED of the Boston Film/Video Foundation and Dean of Professional and Continuing Education at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She has also worked on documentaries as co-producer/co-director, and executive producer, and is a photographer. During the pandemic she spent her spare time documenting the phenomenon of teardowns in the suburbs of Boston.

Ken Winikur
Creative Director / Principal

Ken made his first film in high school on a Fisher Price PXL2000 camera that ran on audio cassettes. He went on to get an MFA in Filmmaking from Temple University focusing on documentary storytelling. Since then he has traveled the world, explored all kinds of technology and been inspired by art installations, music and emerging storytelling techniques to craft unique experiences for clients. The only people more surprised than he is that he’s managed to make a career out of this are his parents.

Storm
Dog

Born in the winter of Stormageddon, Storm is a long-time member of the team who is known for her thoughtful and playful nature. She enjoys treats, belly rubs, and naps.
